Membership of Birdlife Bayside costs $20 for an individual, or $30 for a family, per calendar year.
Meetings are free for members, $5 for non-members. This helps cover meeting running costs such as the venue hire, and includes a light supper.
Our membership is not limited to residents of suburbs in the City of Bayside, such as Sandringham, Beaumaris, Black Rock, Brighton, Cheltenham, Hampton, and Highett. We also welcome members from further afield. Existing members also come from places such as Mentone, Bentleigh, McKinnon, Clayton, Moorabbin, Mordialloc, Frankston, Mt Eliza.
Our monthly outings also roam far and wide, with the February outing visiting Mud Islands, in Port Phillip Bay.
Other regular locations we visit include places in and near Bayside, such as Ricketts Point and Karkarook Park, as well as further afield such as Heatherton Road Wetlands, Point Cook, Point Nepean, Phillip Island, Westgate Park, You Yangs Regional Park. We record all bird species identified during our outings, and those bird records are available for searching on this web site. A map of all the places we have visited is available on our Outing Locations page.
